There are so many, many other adults who support and applaud what Girl Scouting stands for and its services to girls in today's communities. Yet these people are not connected or linked with the Girl Scout organization in the United States. Building a broader based adult membership would fill this void and enhance the scope of services Girl Scout councils can offer in diverse areas of their overall jurisdiction. Purpose:

The Girl Scout Alumnae Group is committed to supporting Girl Scout programs as well as providing adult programs that will foster the individual growth of the Alumnae.

Objectives:

• Will encourage interest among Girl Scout Alumnae Members regarding Girl Scout programs.
• Create and maintain an Alumnae membership that will support Girl Scout programs.
• Develop a pool of Girl Scout Alumnae volunteers to actively assist with Girl Scout programs.
• Develop fundraising projects and a pool of possible financial contributors.Through meetings of the Alumnae, women with a common Girl Scout bond can become active members of the Association and have an opportunity to expand their contacts and interests.
• Provide a Girl Scout organization that will provide continuity for graduating Senior Girl Scouts.
  Increase public awareness and recognition of Girl Scout programs.

Membership:

Membership is open to all former Girl Scouts who are interested in supporting Girl Scout programs. People from all walks of life, and all cultural, ethnic, socio-economic backgrounds are encouraged to become members. Girl Scout Alumnae membership is obtained by submitting a completed Alumnae information form. Adult registration in Girl Scouts is encouraged, but not required.
